When Tonia the bartender accepted this challenge, she excitedly set forth and gathered a team of coworkers for assistance. While I watched a little ESPN, Tonia and her crack team of alchemists went to work layering three different liquids in an attempt to create the most patriotic shot possible. The result? A mostly red and blue shot with a tiny sliver of white on the bottom. I give the team at Patton a lot of credit and leeway, because they whipped up something new on the spot. However, although it separated out pretty well, it wasn't the tastiest shot in the roundup; a sweet start lingering to a cough syrup finish. It's a deceptive, slightly disappointing shot, much like a charcoal snake firework. Way cooler in theory than in actual dud practice. But hey, at least this shot won't scorch your mom's flagstone patio.
