Yeah, I'm going to have to back you up on this, Kerry. As the photographer of this image, I remember taking this picture, because these very nice girls are some of my friends. When I took this image, they had just arrived and had yet to have anything to drink. If I remember correctly, they were there to help celebrate another friend's birthday. While I appreciate other people's opinions, anonymous speculation without actual insight is a little frustrating.

Hi there Lovedog and Floetta. Just to clear up any confusion, Metromix is affiliated with, but not populated by, News-Leader content and vice versa. We are a separate entity. These photos are never published in the paper. They are linked from the N-L Web site back to Metromix, but don't actually exist in the News-Leader archives. And frankly, I think these ladies look lovely and not in the least bit "hammered." Plus, there are no drinks anywhere near them, so I don't believe it could ever be used to get them in trouble. They're just out having fun. Anyway, I just wanted to clear up the newspaper association. We appreciate your comments! -Kerry (Producer)

I agree. It's pretty lame. Why would you want your picture published in the paper while you are in a bar hammered? It just shows how vain these young "pretty people" are nowadays. Also, this could be used against you if you received a DWI and claimed you had not been in a bar drinking

Maybe it's just me, but, what use do these photos of young people going out in bars have? I did the same back in the 1960s and 1970s but didn't have a need tp be published on the front pages of newspapers. Someday, their children's children will say, Hey, look, Grandma, I found you in the archives of the newspaper. Why did you have your arm around that girl and why did you show so much cleavage?
