When you’re fighting the undead, creativity is key

Any devout fan of zombie films knows when it’s time for heroes to fight back against undead creeps, the action lends itself to morbid creativity. With lives at stake, characters pick up anything from bats to guns to chainsaws to fight back against the forces of evil.
There are the standard ways of re-killing zombies—like a swift gunshot to the head—and then there are the more innovative strategies to save your brain from lip-smacking hordes. For example, death-by-amusement-park-rides in the new horror-comedy “Zombieland,” opening Oct. 2.

My favorite recent zombie kill was the jar of acid to the head in "Diary of the Dead." Otherwise bad movie, but good kill.
