An ageless Justin Timberlake and other humans with a twist

Somewhere between Superman’s alien powers and Batman’s mix of training and toys lies a different breed of Hollywood hero: the superhuman. Recognizably human but simultaneously more, these unusual men and women are just like you and me…with a twist.
Such is the case in “In Time,” opening Oct. 28, set in a future society in which mankind’s aging gene has been switched off. With time converted into a new form of currency, the wealthy discover that they can live forever—racking up the minutes like dollars, cheating not just consumers but also death itself. Justin Timberlake stars as a member of the lower class who suddenly finds himself with a rich man’s life span.
While that makes him yet another in a long line of Hollywood superhumans, we look back at the best in class.
