For years, fans of quirky electro-pop had no cuter icon than Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor. Standing all of five-foot-two in his candy-colored cross-trainers and wearing the kind of glasses you expect to see held together with electrical tape, Taylor could sing songs about wrestling and threatening to “break off your legs and snap off your head” and make you just want give him a hug. But last year, Taylor may have finally met his match in Lykke Li, a little Swedish pop tart who sings erotically charged love songs into a bullhorn, plays a gold kazoo, and busts out the kind of sexy/geeky dance moves Hot Chip fans practice in front of their mirrors. Alexis, challenge this girl to a wrestling match!
