The White Stripes

After gigging around the Motor City with Goober & the Peas and other local bands, Gillis met and married drummer Megan White, becoming Jack White for good. Soon after, their neo-blues duo the White Stripes went supernova on the back of stellar releases like 2000's "De Stijl," 2001's "White Blood Cells" and 2003's "Elephant." Subsequent LPs "Get Behind Me Satan" and “Icky Thump" solidified their standing as rock superstars, a status they maintain to this day. Despite his myriad other projects, White maintains that the duo is already developing material for their seventh studio album.
