First Look: Quincy Magoo's
Photos:
Space Bar Game Room Nachos -- $7.99

I had heard about Quincy Magoo's opening about a month ago and made a mental note to give it a try. Then my coworker who told me about it left town and I completely forgot the name of the place. Tipsy McSwaggers? No. Floozy McDougal's? No, not that either. So it took me about two weeks and six completely baffled coworkers to cough up the name. How on earth I forgot something as memorable as "Quincy Magoo's", I will never know. Oh, yes I will -- too much beer.

Anyway, this large, bustling Southside spot (in the old Clary's space in Battlefield Marketplace) is a nice option for a casual lunch or dinner. There are loads of menu items, the portions are hefty and the pricepoint is pretty low so needless to say, it draws pretty decent crowds. Quincy Magoo's is very family friendly, but has much appeal for the decidedly kidless among its patrons -- that comes in the form of a really nice bar and tons of beer choices. The food is solidly tasty, if a little underwhelming, and the staff is extremely friendly. I liked my meal, and will like it even more when I can enjoy it with a pint of Blue Moon on tap.
