Vegetarian Appetizers: Portobello Mushroom Brie Soup and Bleu Cheese Chips
Thomas: Laura and I ordered up some bleu cheese chips and a cup of portobello mushroom brie soup. The chips were definitely the tastier of the two 'tizers. Both of us took a few silent seconds with our eyes closed as we simultaneously chomped on this robust option. The freshly-fried, crispy, peppery chips were paired perfectly with the melted, tangy bleu cheese. Although the soup was pretty good, the flavors weren't complex enough to hold our attention next to those chips. It would be good for a hardcore mushroom soup fiend.
Laura: The only way I could eat that soup was as a dip for my chips. Really it played second fiddle to those crispy pieces of heaven. Don't get me wrong, the soup wasn't horrible, it just didn't have the same burst of flavor that the chips had.
