The staff of life. Oh, and bread too.

I love a whipped butter rosette. Love 'em. At his first approach, our server, Gabriel, asked us if we would like some bread to tide us over. I like it when they ask. I always feel like I'm wasting food if bread is plunked down and I'm not really feeling it. Somewhere my mother is unwittingly beaming with pride. My friend was pretty famished so she wanted a piece and Gabriel rushed to her aid. I didn't have any because I wanted to save room for my meal (see introductory paragraph) but I did admire the butter.
