Cody's: 1 lb Hamburger
The 1 lb hamburger at W.F. Cody's is intimidatingly huge and took 30 minutes to cook. The server doubted my manliness by insisting that I wouldn't be able to finish it all. Whatever. The burger was so juicy it made the bottom bun kind of soggy, but it's worth it. The meat-to-bun ratio was staggering -- the picture tells the whole story. This may not be the best overall burger, but the beef flavor is amazing and in a class all its own. Sadly, I wasn't able to finish the whole thing and I'm not sure why. When I a was kid my grandpa use to brag about how many hamburgers I could eat at McDonald's. That, and I'm built like an Asian speed-eater. Next time I'll either try to stretch my stomach like that scene in "Cool Hand Luke," or I'll order W.F. Cody's famous Larry burger, which involves a fried egg.
Grade: A
Price: $7.45
