Jade East
You don't have to venture too far "East" to try this dish. In fact, I'd advise against it. This restaurant was one of the few to have a buffet line inside. I still ordered off a menu and received this heaping plate of chicken and fried rice.
Pros: One eggroll and one crab rangoon rode sidecar to the main entree. There was a good portion of chicken and rice.
Cons: The chicken was poor quality -- tough and stringy and not as juicy as I would have liked. It definitely did not taste very fresh, and the rice was a strange bland, yellow mess. The sauce was thin and watery and made the batter coating soggy. I can forgive a bland eggroll, but not the two elements of the main dish. It also costs far too much for the quality of food you get.
The Price: $6.13 -- tax included
Overall score: 2 out of 5. Maybe the buffet line got all of the spices and flavors, because this dish lacked both.
