The Lunch Rush
This place gets packed. Packed, I tell you. It was sort of an uneventful, cold Thursday yet by noon there was a gaggle of people waiting up front for something to open up. When my lunch pal and I arrived at about 11:50 a.m., we got the last available table. The clientele seems to skew a bit older (or at least it did this time). There were business lunchers, ladies-who-lunch lunchers and a whole bunch of octogenarian lunchers, which I love. A place has got to be good to get my grandparents out of the house so I figure it works the same way with other peoples' grandparents. That's the friendly (and calm) owner, Nancy Miller, in the foreground in the pink sweater.
