How have we not reviewed Riad before? Open since 2004, this eatery has been consistently serving up healthy, fresh Mediterranean cuisine at reasonable prices to downtown crowds. Authentic, hard-to-find, quality ingredients are the heart of this casual, Greek-inspired eatery. Health nuts, rejoice: there are a number of simple, clean-flavored dishes available.

Conveniently situated on Park Central Square, Riad has maintained a large following with hearty, classics such as baba ganoush, dolmathes, shish-kebabs and tabbouleh. Sound Greek to you? Rest assured, there are plenty of steak, seafood, pasta and salad selections to round out the menu, all with a Hellenic flair. This location (they have another one on the Southside) has just gotten an interior facelift, so even if you've been before, it's worth another look. And of course, there's the cuisine. You did see what Greek food did for the bodies of that Spartan army of 300, right? I rest my case.
