Maybe it’s the curse of the "giant fork." Whether or not mystic forces are at work, though, it’s getting hard to imagine a restaurant staying in business at 3662 S. Glenstone Avenue: we’ve seen the big glass building used as a car dealership, a health-food restaurant, a coffeehouse and a sports bar, all in a pretty short period of time. And now, a familiar face has moved in.
In business since October of twenty-ten, Ebbets Field South could stop the losing streak with its name and reputation alone. We love the original location on Walnut Street for its old-school charm and ambience, so we’re hoping the new owners of Ebbets can work their magic and turn 3662 S. Glenstone into a Springfield landmark.
