Say "Welcome Back" to Opehlia's!
After pulling a Kanye and disappearing from the scene for a while, Ophelia’s has reappeared right off of Walnut St. next to Gailey’s. I have to admit, I was one of the curious downtowners who peeked into the windows of the building to see if I could spot what was going on inside before it was announced that Ophelia's would be reopening. As soon as it came out that Ophelia’s was making a comeback, I whipped out my iPhone and emailed my boss, and he shared my enthusiasm in getting an “Inside Look” as soon as possible.
Back in business and sporting new menu items, Ophelia’s still offers tapas (appetizer-size "snacks"), wine and cocktails in a laid-back, lounge-y environment. For those who never got the chance to hit Opehlia's before, the place does not serve full meals; don't come expecting dinner. Instead, enjoy several tapas and drinks while you relax.
We got inside as soon as we could, and picked out the best of the best. Readers be warned: drooling might ensue while reading. You might want to cover your keyboard with some plastic wrap.
