Springfield's Best Pizza
Pizza.
What comes to mind when you read that word? Only goodness and feelings of contentment? The ultimate comfort food? An overwhelming sense of shame over its role in your collegiate "freshman 15"? It is every kid’s favorite and many adult’s guiltiest culinary pleasure. After asking around town (and using a certain entertainment Web site's limitless repository of information. Ahem), I compiled a list of pizza joints in town to test out and rate.
Now, there are probably some topping enthusiasts who are going to be really disappointed in this endeavor, simply because I decided to stick with cheese pizza. Before you discount me as being lazy or picky, hear me out. If a restaurant fails to impress with pizza's three basic ingredients, then toppings are just going to disguise a sloppy foundation. So to find the elusive best sauce-cheese-crust combo, I set out to gluttonously shove and meticulously taste as many pizzas as my belt size would allow in order to determine who is making the best in town.
